Startup Passion Finals at TU On 16 September!

On 16 September, the best teams of Startup Passion in Baltic Sea Region will start competing for the main prize at the Tallinn University Ceremonial Hall.

On 16 September, the best teams of will start competing for the main prize at the Tallinn University Ceremonial Hall.

Each team has three minutes to convince the jury that their product is worth developing and investing in. The first prize, which the team can use to visit international events and find investors, is €5,000.

Eight teams will compete on Friday, three of them from Tallinn University. The products and services on offer vary greatly. Team from the Viljandi Culture Academy wish to produce magnetic wrist warmers to musicians and office workers. One of the favourites to win, the Latvian team , plans to help the banks to reduce transfer costs greatly.

After the competition, the teams will go through the From Business to Success programme, which offers intense mentoring and training side-by-side with the other teams. The teams will also get the chance to participate in various investing and networking events. The goal of this programme is to help the teams find the first investors to get their business going.

The Startup Passion training programme was created by the best from Finland, Estonia and Latvia. The programme is sponsored by the Central Baltic Programme. The partners are Tallinn University, Cursor OY (Finland), Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and the Stockholm Business School in Riga (Latvia).
