Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Open for Applications

Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) was created in 2010 with a
mission to enrich ties between the United States and Estonia, Latvia and
Lithuania, through programs of education and exchange centering on economic
growth and democratic processes.Two programs, Professional Internship
Program and Research Scholar Program, are open for applications for the
last few days.Final year students and recent graduates are invited to apply
for the BAFF Professional Internship Program. Scholarship is all-inclusive
and recipients receive up to $30,000 for six-month or year-long internships
in the leading U.S. companies.Scholars and scientists with a doctoral
degree or at least five year experience in research are invited to apply
for the BAFF Research Scholar Program. Selected applicants will have a
chance to do a research in the United States for up to one year. BAFF
provides up to $60,000 to cover project-related costs and living expenses
for your entire stay, including family allowance for your family
members.Applicants will be selected based on their motivation, career
plans, professional objectives, relevance to BAFF鈥檚 mission and values,
academic results, English language skills and potential contribution to
home country. Upon completion of the BAFF program, scholarship recipients
and participants are required to return to, and to reside in, the country
of permanent residency for a minimum of two years. The residency
requirement constitutes a moral obligation that relates to the foundational
aim of BAFF to promote business and social development in the Baltic
