Prairie Tales screening takes place in BFM’s SuperNova Cinema (Narva Rd. 27, IV floor) on 3rd of February at 18.00. The screening will be opened by the Ambassador of Canada John Morrison and by the Director of BFM Katrin Saks.

For 15 years Prairie Tales () has offered a selection of the year’s best short films and videos made by Albertan media artists in a feature-length compilation.

The screening is free of charge.

The films are in English.

Oh Canada, Oh Canada was produced for the exhibition “Oh Canada” at MASSMoCa in North Adams, Massachusetts. It replicates Honeymoon Suite’s 1985 music video Feel It Again while wryly speculating what a visitor to the exhibition might find.

Walk in the Park

A solitary lady plays with her paper drawings in a yard; the paper ball never bounces back properly. Paper, scotch tape, plastic — nothing works. After a few kicks, the ball rolls back in pieces. While working on a solution, she notices odd neighbours spending their day collecting fabric. The lady passes them the best item from her collection, gaining a bouncing choreography as a reward.

The Vale
