Supporting e-Participation – a dissemination event for IIeP
(Immigrant Inclusion by e-Participation) project outcomes and workshops on
e-tools will be held on Thursday, 8 March 2012. The morning session will be
held in the Sokos Hotel Viru Conference
Centre from 10:00–12:30. The afternoon session of workshops on
e-tools will be held at Tallinn University from 14:00–17:30.The aim of
the project is to increase interaction between local and national
authorities and multilingual NGOs or communities, by using the support of
the Internet and social media tools.Representatives of Tallinn University
Institute of Informatics; University of Helsinki, Department of
Communication and Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education; Södertörn
University Departments of Media Technology and Informatics and the Finnish
Ministry of Justice are presenting the website. The presentation includes
guidelines for e-inclusion and e-participation, along with suitable
e-tools, which were the result of the IIeP project, carried out in Estonia,
Finland and Sweden from 2009–2012.Following the morning session, the
event will resume after lunch in Tallinn University at 14:00 with hands-on
workshops, where various e-tools in support of e-inclusion, e-participation
and web-based collaboration will be introduced.The presentations, slides
and workshop details can also be accessed via the web.Online
registration is open until 5 March 2012.The event is free.The
working languages are English and Estonian.The project is funded by the
European Union, the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007–2013.For
