International Summer School was held at Tallinn University
International Tallinn Summer School was held from July 17 to August 24. This year, we held 15 courses, among which we also offered new ones – Innovate and Educate, Basics of Game Development, and School for Finno-Ugric bloggers. Traditionally, the most popular courses were Estonian and Russian languages, Short Film, and The Formation of Global Norms in a Changing World Order.
Atotal of 248 people from 46 countries participated in the summer courses; most participants came from the USA, Germany, and Japan. The feedback of the Summer School is positive: 98.2% of the participants would recommend the Summer School to a friend or colleague. It was said that the lecturers are knowledgeable and inspiring professionals, they support the students' intellectual and/or professional development, and the courses met the participants’ expectations. It has been noticed that the lecturers have given the participants many examples and tools to work with and continue working after the course. It was mentioned that Summer School courses use a fun approach that allows students to solve problems while learning creatively. It was said that the Summer School is generally well organized, and the team is full of goodwill and energy, open, patient, and generous.
In addition to the academic courses, participants were offered a rich cultural program: we got to know the history and culture of Estonia, visited museums, watched Estonian movies, travelled to Lahemaa national park and Kinhu island, tasted Estonian food at the "A glimpse of Estonian food culture" workshop.
We thank our participants, team members, and lecturers for a great Summer School and invite you to participate in Tallinn Winter School, which will take place in January 2024.
