Greetings from the Academic Affairs Manager before the spring semester
On 2 February, the university sent a greeting to the students by Helen Joost, the Academic Affairs Manager, in which Joost explains the principles of organising the studies during the upcoming semester. Read the greeting below.

Dear Students of Tallinn University
I am greeting you before the upcoming spring semester, and although I would not want to talk about the COVID situation, then unfortunately I still have to.
COVID-19 is spreading very actively in Estonia, and recent years have shown that the virus is especially aggressive in late winter and early spring. That is why we need to be careful at the university during the upcoming months and organise our studies as safely as possible.
The lecturer, based on the teaching method, decides the form of the study. The place and form of studies (physical or online ) can be seen in ASIO. The lecturer is not obliged to offer hybrid studies in parallel for physical studies. I ask for your patience and understanding - the university and our faculty will do their best to provide you with quality higher education in the safest way. Entrust lectures with the choice of form of study.
Please also remember and follow the good online learning practices published on the university鈥檚 website.
Studies at Helsinki's campus are organised according to the Finnish COVID situation. Students are informed separately of possible changes in the organisation of studies.
In physical studies, we will continue in the new semester with the familiar restrictions, the most important of which are the following:
if you have infectious disease symptoms, stay at home and inform the lecturer in good time;
wear a protective mask while at the university and register your participation in the study;
hold a safe distance from others in the campus;
and unfortunately we must also ask you not to spend your free time at university.
If you are infected with COVID-19 and were in the university during an infectious period, please let us know as follows:
foreign visiting students: Ingrid Hinojosa ingrid.hinojosa@tlu.ee;
all other students: Kadi M枚ldri kadi.moldri@tlu.ee.
I wish you all the best for the beginning of the semester and I hope it brings you a lot of new useful knowledge!
