Open Call: Summer School assistant
Tallinn University's Graduate School of Culture Studies and Arts is seeking for a motivated and proactive assistant to support the organisation and progress of the Summer School "The Soviet Otherwise: Affects, Margins, and Imaginaries in the Late Soviet Era". The Summer School will be held at Tallinn University (Narva Road 25, Tallinn) 26 July - 2 August 2019.
This Summer School studies the cultural-historical processes in the late Soviet Union in a slightly different way - along less travelled paths in the research of the period 1950s-1990s - and aims to bring together leading scholars and aspiring PhD students to open the topic and discuss the Soviet "otherwise".
Tasks for the assistant include:

Composing the Summer School porogramme in cooperation with the speakers and organisers;

Carrying out Summer School activities in cooperation with the speakers and organisers;

Conducting the Summer School culture programme events as per programme;
- Collecting and analyzing feedback on the Summer School.
The expected work period will be approximately 19 July - 9 August, 2019
Candidates who have previous similar work experence and are familiar with the Tallinn University campus will be preferred.
If necessary, travel and accommodation will be provided by the organiser.

This Summer School is organised by the (European Union) European Regional Development Fund (Tallinn University's ASTRA project, TLU TEE - Tallinn University as a promoter of intelligent lifestyle and in collaboration with the PUT1218 project "National Intimacies and Cultural Imaginaries: Home and Culture in the Late Soviet Era", Estonian Literature Museum (directed by Epp Annus).
