The 18th Literature and Music Night takes place at the Von Krahl Bar in Tallinn Old Town from 7 p.m. onwards. The Literature and Music Night (KiMu), organised by the Tallinn University students, started back in 2005 and happens twice a year.

KIMU's performers are always great. Certainly, we won't uncover the whole list of those who will step on the stage, but here you have some of this time's performers' names:

Alan Teder! Radiant
Alan has done a lot in Tallinn University's student council and his name is very familiar to active people. At KiMu we will see him in a new role, he will present us his own creation (a piece of writing), which has for years been in his drawer, waiting for the right time to find its way to the wide audience. 6th November 2013 is The Right Time.

Ester Bogdanov
Beautiful melodies, a velvety voice, a powerful performance. One couldn't ask for more.

Dance group NO
A dance performance isn't missing from this KiMu and NO undoubtedly knows what exactly it should be like!

Emphasis
Emphasis is a rock band which was formed in 2010 and at KiMu they will present us an acoustic set. Music of Emphasis is synthesis of powerful classical harmonies, expressive heavy guitar riffs, unique rhytmic traditions and delicate melodic sequences. The following example from their repertoire proves that they sound like Estonian own Evanescence or Nightwish. You must hear this in live!

Arne Lauri, Varvara Reino & Aleksandr Korb
Singing ancient mantras with Indian traditional instruments in the background. Kirtan, which means singing holy mantras comes from Indian spiritual culture and is an ancient Vaishnava tradition. Kirtan purifies one's mind, awakens the soul and brings happiness and love into the heart. The mystical mantra meditation offers the best variety in everyday life!

What else is in the programme?

The host's unforgettable performance, mindblowing guitar virtuosos, magical moments and simply another heavenly evening!

Our sparkly hosts are Margarita Kulbok and Kaarle Olav Varkki - Margarita has been an actress of the Russian Youth Theatre for fourteen years and Kaarle's poem won the first prize in 2013 in Tallinn University's literature competition's poetry category.

Sunlight Heart
Sunlight Heart is a music project that was started in Estonia in the autumn of 2012. It showcases the songs of finnish/canadian musician Markus Rafael Nylund who mostly perfoms solo. The musical soundscape includes piano, acoustic guitar and voice. Lyrical themes and moods range from inner turmoil to passionate, rageful desire to the transcendence of all that into what art and music is all about; intense beauty.
