BIP programme: Baltic Sea Region and Cross-Border Co-Operation
Tallinn University School of Governance, Law and Society invites all Bachelor students from foreign universities to participate in our Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) that takes place 16-20 October 2023.
The intensive programme includes an interactive learning environment, group work, a lot of independent research, and working with others. It is a blended programme which means that there is a physical part and a virtual part. The physical part will take place for 5 days in Tallinn, the beautiful capital of Estonia and the virtual part is an e-course that has to be completed by the students before the physical meeting. Upon completing the programme, the students will receive credits (4 ECTS).
Name of the BIP: Baltic Sea Region and Cross-Border Co-Operation (4 ECTS)
Target group: BA students
The course deals with four themed sections:
- The basics and history of the Baltic Sea;
- Baltic Sea environmental issues and cooperation;
- Baltic Sea economic issues and cooperation;
- Baltic Sea politics on all levels.
Students are able to apply for the Erasmus grant offered by their home university. Tallinn University will cover much of the food but the accommodation and some of the food costs the students must cover themselves. The cost is around 100-150 euros, depending on preferences. No additional payments will be asked from the university's side.
Students from different European universities will travel to Tallinn on Sunday 15th October 2023, enjoy 5 days of face-to-face lessons, activities and exchange, and return on Friday 20th. At the university, there will be some afternoon events, including an excursion in the Tallinn old town. These events will be free for all participants and some include snacks or food. Of course, these travel days can be changed if students wish to spend more time in Estonia.
