Adolfo Ruiz Calleja, a candidate for the position of Senior research fellow for learning analytics and educational data mining (infrastructures), will hold his Venia Legendi “A Learning Analytics infrastructure to promote educational innovation in Estonia”.

Abstract:
The public lecture presents my future plans as a member of the CEITER project. These plans, which are seen as a continuation of my current research work at Tallinn University, entail the creation of a data infrastructure to support Learning Analytics as well as its exploitation for different research and innovation projects. 

Bio:
Adolfo Ruiz Calleja defended his PhD Thesis “SEEK-AT-WD: A Social-Semantic Infrastructure to Sustain Educational ICT Tool Descriptions in the Web of Data” at the University of Valladolid in 2013. He was a postdoc at the Tallinn University School of Digital Technologies Centre for Educational Technology. His research has been focused on studying and developing social-semantic tools in the context of workplace learning.
