TU Academic Library Celebrates Its 65th Anniversary

The Tallinn University Academic Library will celebrate its 65th anniversary
with a scientific conference and exhibition. The scientific conference will
be held from April 5–6. On Day 1 of the conference, the focus will be on
the Library from the beginning of the 21st century. Day 2 of the conference
will concentrate on antique books in Estonia, since the oldest collection
of the library dates back to 1552 when a library was first established at
Oleviste Church.The original Central Library of the Academy
of Sciences, was established on April 5, 1956. Since that time it has
developed into a research library with over 2.5 million items and 49 000
registered users. The library was re-named as the Tallinn University
