Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche is the lineage holder of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition within Tibetan Buddhism. Born in September 1990, he was recognized at the age of four as the reincarnation of the previous Kalu Rinpoche, who passed away in 1989. The current Rinpoche adopts a modern approach to teaching Buddha Dharma, incorporating practices rooted in Niguma yoga to foster mental and physical well-being, particularly in response to the fast-paced and often chaotic conditions of the 21st century.
