Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano's exhibition "My Estonian Summers" will open in
the atrium of Tallinn University Mare building on Thursday, 1 November at
17:30. The opening will be followed by the screening of Raphaël
Gianelli-Meriano's film about Jaan Kaplinski in the auditorium M218 (Mare
building, Uus-Sadama 5).Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano is well known both as a
photographer and a director. Much of his work is related to Estonia. He is
known for his documentaries featuring Priit Pärn and Jaan Kaplinski and in
2005 he published a photo study "About Estonia". Some of
Gianelli-Meriano’s other pursuits include producing albums of Estonian
musicians in France.Gianelli-Meriano's exhibition "My Estonian Summers"
includes photos, music and videos that provide an overview of the ten years
that the author has spent in Estonia.The exhibition will remain open until
23 November.Gianelli-Meriano's film about Jaan Kaplinski will be screened
in the auditorium M218 (Mare building, Uus-Sadama 5) on 1 November at 18:15
and 15 November at 18:00. The film is in Estonian and French with English
subtitles.Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano will also deliver two public lectures
at Tallinn University. The lectures "Rencontre avec une culture du
mouvement: l'Estonie" (in French) and "Photographing and Filming in
Estonia: a Process in Motion" (in English) will be held in the auditorium
S422 (Silva building) on 31 October at 10:15 and in N207 (Nova building) on
