„Where do we see the future of EU“
Mr. Ivan Korčok, the State Secretary for the EU Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Plenipotentiary for the Slovak Presidency in the Council of the EU, will visit Estonia on 9-10 May 2017 in the light of the upcoming Estonian presidency in the Council of the EU.
The Europe Day celebration on 9 May is the right occasion to remember the positive achievements reached in the past 60 years. However, the United Kingdom decision to leave the European Union put this unique integration project under pressure. The Bratislava process, launched in September 2016 during the Slovak presidency, reignited the genuine discussion on the future of the EU. The 27 Member States stay united and committed to reinvigorate and futureproof the EU.
What are the stakes for the EU, what kind of Europe we want, what decisions must be taken in the coming years? Mr. Ivan Korčok will share the Slovak views on all these questions in his lecture at Tallinn university on 10 May 2017.
The lecture is open to everyone and takes place from 2pm to 3 pm in TU room A-222.
