Andriy Yur'yev, a doctoral student at Tallinn University Institute of
Social Work, will defend his PhD thesis entitled "Dimension-Specific Impact
of Social Exclusion on Suicide Mortality in Europe". His defence will take
place in the TU Institute of History (Rüütli St 6) on Wednesday, February
29 at 13:00.The supervisors of the thesis are Professor Airi Värnik,
Tallinn University Institute of Social Work and Director of the
Estonian-Swedish Mental Health and Suicidology Institute, and Professor
Lauri Leppik, Director of the Tallinn University Institute of Social
Work.The opponents of the thesis are Professor Hans van Ewijk, Utrecht
University of Applied Sciences and University for Humanistics in
Utrecht and a Visiting Professor at the University of Tartu, and Alvydas
Navickas, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius
