Visiting Scholar Ping Pu from Guangdong University will give an open lecture at the Institute of Political Science and Governance about higher education transformation and nation building in China.

Higher education, a crucial factor for a nation鈥檚 survival, contributes to national development through dissemination of specialized knowledge and skills. China has been conducting higher education transformation since the 1990s to adopt to the economic and political structural reform so as to carry on with the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Since then, the higher education of China has been quickly developed and entered into the stage of popularization. This presentation will provide an insight into China鈥檚 policies regarding higher education transformation, the achievements, the conflict and unbalance resulted in and its subsequent nationwide influence over the country.

The lecture will be held in English. No previous registration required, everyone is welcome!
