TU Senate names Timo Tobias Ley as Professor of Digital Ecosystems

At the committee meeting held on September 27, the Senate of TallinnUniversity named Timo Tobias Ley as Professor of Digital Ecosystems at TUInstitute of Informatics.

Timo Tobias Ley was born on August 7, 1973, in Langen, Germany. He
graduated from Darmstadt University of Technology in 2000 and defended his
doctoral dissertation 鈥淥rganizational Competency Management 鈥 A
Competence Performance Approach鈥 in the University of Graz in 2005.T.T.
Ley has led many science and development projects financed by the EU. He
has also served on the  programme committees at  many
international conferences and delivered lectures and supervised students at
the University of Graz. Currently T.T. Ley is working as a researcher at
Austria鈥檚 Competence Center for Knowledge Management (Knowledge Services
Area).  His research focus during the last few years has been
workplace learning and work-integrated learning based on the self-managing
social hardware. T.T. Ley鈥檚 appointment as a Professor of Digital
Ecosystems will be effective January 1, 2011.
