Tallinn University Senate elected nine full professors and conferred
emeritus rank on three professors and three associate professors at the
committee meeting held on June 13.The following scholars were elected as
professors: Reili Argus as Professor of Estonian, Peeter Järvelaid as
Professor of the History of Law and Comparative Law, Elina Penttinen as
Professor of International Relations and European Studies, Tõnis Põder as
Professor of Environmental Planning, Ellu Saar as Professor of Sociology,
Anu Toots as Professor of Comparative Public Policy, Marika Veisson as
Professor of Pre-School Pedagogy, Raivo Vetik as Professor of Comparative
Politics and Tõnu Viik as Professor of Philosophy.The rank of professor
emeritus was conferred on Mare Pork, Rein Haljand and Paul Tammela. The
rank of associate professor emeritus was conferred on Ene Lausvee, Kaie
Pappel and Helle Sikka.
