Students of Baltic Film and Media School Win at an International Film Festival
The 73rd edition of the film festival UNICA 2011 was held at the "Théâtre
des Capucins" in Luxembourg from August 20–28, 2011. Altogether there
were 124 films from 29 countries.Young film makers from Estonia were
represented with 4 films and came back with several awards.A short film
entitled "Elisabeth von Ungern-Sternmeer" by Vallo Toomla (BFM) was awarded
with the silver medal. A short film entitled "Külm on" ("Burnt Mistakes")
by Martti Helde (BFM) was awarded with the bronze medal and an animated
film entitled "Elu kilukarbis" ("Packed Like Sardines") by Stella Salumaa
from Estonian Academy of Arts was awarded with the diploma of honor.
