Outstanding Student Films from Baltic Film and Media School

A film entitled "95" (directed by Hardi Keerutaja) won two awards:

  • The best script (by Hardi Keerutaja)
  • The favourite film of the audience

The film tells a story about a lazy boy who tries to win back his mother's trust.

Several student films have been selected to participate at international film festivals:

  • Hardi Keerutaja’s “95” and Moonika Siimets’ “Is it you?” were selected to participate at the 10th International Film School Festival in Portugal.
  • Anna Hints’ film “Free World” was chosen to participate in the CILECT Panorama, which will take place during the 15th Tel Aviv Student Film Festival! The CILECT Panorama is showcasing all the fiction films that were selected by the film schools to participate in the CILECT prize 2013.

The new cinema hall in Tallinn University’s BFM now provides excellent opportunities for screening student films. The new hall is equipped with the most up to date contemporary projection and sound system.

The Tallinn University Baltic Film and Media School is the only university institute in northern Europe that teaches film arts, audio-visual media and cross-media production in English. The learning environment in the Baltic Film and Media School is multicultural. Over 400 students are currently enrolled with 65 of these students representing 25 different foreign countries.
