The new Head of TU Baltic Film and Media School Film Department is Elen Lotman

Few months ago TU’s Baltic Film and Media School got a new Head of Film Department, Elen Lotman. Elen graduated cinematography BA cum laude in 2004 at Tallinn University Film Department and since then she has shot about a dozen documentaries and short films.

Few months ago TU’s Baltic Film and Media School got a new Head of Film Department, Elen Lotman. Elen graduated cinematography BA cum laude in 2004 at Tallinn University Film Department and since then she has shot about a dozen documentaries and short films. Her first full length fiction was shot in 2007. For various documentaries she has travelled to Japan, Tibet, China, Thailand, India, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Russian Arctic. Her biggest recognition so far has been Award for Best Cinematography in BNFF Tridens Herring competition programme for feature film Demons in 2012. She is a mother of two tiny cute red hair girls and a member of the board of IMAGO – European Federation of Cinematographers.
