Confucius Institute offers different scholarships for Chinese learners to study in China for shorter or longer period of time.

In order to foster deep understanding of China and the Chineseculture among young elites from around the world, enable the prosperous growthof China studies, promote the sustainable development of Confucius Institutes,and enhance the friendly relationship between China and the people of othercountries, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (the Headquarters) has set upthe 鈥淐onfucius China Study Plan鈥

    • Scholarship for Students of Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages锛圡TCSOL锛
    • Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Students
    • Scholarship for One-Semester Students 
    • Scholarship for Four-Week Students 

For newly enrolled students

These rules are formulated to promote the level of improvement in SUFE's quality of education for international students, referenced from Pilot Sheme of Shanghai Government Scholarships for International Students (Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (diplomatic) No. 78 [2006]) and Regulation of Shanghai Government Scholarships for International Students (Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (financial) No. 77 [2006]).

University Postgraduate Program is established by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) aiming to provide supports to Chinese HEIs in building high level universities, and promote Chinese higher education brand on an international basis. The Chinese HEIs under this program are responsible for the recruitment of international students. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the MOE, holds the responsibility of the verification, approval and the routine management of the program.
