The Vice-Rector for Research has announced a competition for Tallinn University's most distinguished publications, textbooks and creative projects!

The Vice-Rector for Research has announced a competition for Tallinn University's most distinguished publications, textbooks and creative projects.

Every year in February, TU holds the competition for the most distinguished publication, textbook and creative project. The competition is open to all full-time lecturers and researchers, as well as associate professors emeritus and professors emeritus of Tallinn University.

Awards will be given in seven categories, which are:

  • Best monograph;
  • Best humanities article;
  • Best nature sciences article;
  • Best social sciences article;
  • Best exact science article;
  • Best general education or higher education textbook;
  • Best creative project (show, concert, speciality exhibition etc).


To take part, please send the following materials to the Research Administration Office (T317 or merilyn.rannat@tlu.ee) by February 12th, 2015:

  • Your publicaion (in case of monograph, article and textbook)
  • Free form application, which notes the category. In case of a monograph or publication, please add an explanation (up to 1 page) of the research your work is based on. Publications, textbooks and creative projects must have a clear connection between the author and the university shown.
  • Description of the publication, textbook or creative project
  • Also recommended: Add reviews and articles about your work (preferably those published in public press)


The prizes will be awarded at the TLU Name Day Ceremony in March.
