Canadian Ambassador Morrison calls for preserving nature with his exhibition

"What I experienced there made me realise that in addition to the changes that global warming and the incessant chase for energy resources, it is necessary to work out suitable governing methods that would benefit the Arctic people," John Morrison says.

Morrison's photo exhibition displays the untouched Canadian Arctic nature. Today, these areas are protected by the national park to preserve them for the future generations. The Inuit girls on the latter part of the photo exhibition are over 40 years old, and have witnessed immense changes in their lifetime, their children will probably experience even more changes.

Everyone is welcome to the opening ceremony of John Morrison's photo exhibition "Secrets of the Arctic" on Thursday, 17 April at 1.30 p.m. at the Mare 1st Floor Gallery. The exhibition will be opened by the Canadian Ambassador to the Baltic States John Morrison and Rector of Tallinn University Tiit Land.

There will be a discussion and meeting before the exhibition that introduces the sustainable development activities in Estonian and Canadian universities. The discussion starts at 1 p.m. in Tallinn University Tallinn Hall (M218).
  

The exhibition will remain open in Tallinn University Mare Ist Floor Gallery until 29 April.
