Call for Papers: Conference "Supporting New Teachers in Europe"
An international conference entitled "Supporting New Teachers in Europe"
will be held in Tallinn University from May 9-11, 2012. The conference
is organised in cooperation with the Finnish Institute for
Educational Resarch, the international networks for teacher
induction NQTNE, NQT-COME and INNOTE, the Finnish National
Network for Peer Group Mentoring of New Teachers Osaava Verme and the
Estonian Network for Supporting New Teachers.The aim of the conference is
to disseminate results of research and development work aimed at promoting
the professional learning of early career teachers. The focus is on
sharing research evidence and best practices to support new
teachers.The conference is targeted at new teachers, and teacher
educators, educational researchers, administrators and policy makers
related to the induction of new teachers.The keynote lectures will be held
by Professor Autio (University of Tallinn) and Paul Holdsworth (Senior
Administrator, Directorate General, Education and Culture, European
