The 4th issue of Estonian Journal of Education awaits contributions

We are inviting submissions for the forth special issue of Estonian Journal of Education (Eesti Haridusteaduste Ajakiri),which is scheduled to be published in May 2015. The main topic of the issue is educational organisation and management. The editors are associate professor Hasso Kukemelk (University of Tartu), professor Mati Heidmets (TallinnUniversity) and visiting professor Doyle Stevick (University of South Carolina / University of Tartu).

We are inviting submissions for the forth special issue of Estonian Journal of Education (Eesti Haridusteaduste Ajakiri),which is scheduled to be published in May 2015. The main topic of the issue is educational organisation and management. The editors are associate professor Hasso Kukemelk (University of Tartu), professor Mati Heidmets (TallinnUniversity) and visiting professor Doyle Stevick (University of South Carolina / University of Tartu).

We welcome research results as well as theoretical overviews of educational organisation and management both in Estonia and abroad.

The deadlines for the publication are as follows:

  1. Author(s) will send the topic of the article(s) accompanied by the abstract in Estonian to Hasso Kukemelk (hasso.kukemelk@ut.ee). The abstract of no more than 200 words  should summarise the theory of research, the objective(s), the methodology as well as the (expected) results of the study – 10 April 2014.
  2. The editors send confirmation about the acceptance of the manuscripts to the corresponding authors – 25 April 2014.
  3. The authors will submit properly formatted manuscripts with a summary in English – 1 September 2014.
  4. The editors will inform the authors about the review results â€“ 3 November 2014.
  5. The authors will revise the manuscripts suggested by the reviewers – 17 November 2014.
  6. Second revision of the manuscripts by the authors (if necessary) – 12 January 2015.
  7. Language editing of the manuscripts – 2 March 2015.
  8. Lay-out of the journal at University of Tartu Press – March–April 2015.
  9. Date of final publication – May 2015.

The focus of the fifth issue is digital culture and education and it is due to be published in November 2015. The editors of the issue are Piret Luik, Peeter Normak and Andra Siibak.

Estonian Journal of Education is a peer-reviewed open access electronic journal with an international editorial board. It publishes scholarly articles in Estonian embodying original research in all areas of education. The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) and will be published in collaboration with the University of Tartu and Tallinn University by the University of Tartu Press. The journal welcomes both empirical research and review articles in the field of education and related areas. In addition, translated articles of international interest from acknowledged experts in the field will be published.
