III International Conference „World War II and Its Aftermath in the Cinemas of the Baltic Sea Region" takes place in SuperNova screening hall at Tallinn University on October 27 and 28.
World War II, one of the most important military conflicts of the 20th century, has never ceased to fascinate filmmakers, and has recently made prominent reappearances on the silver screen. This conference will provide a forum for discussing cinematic representations of the momentous years of and after World War II in the cinemas of the Baltic Sea Region.
The conference is organised by Estonian Film Museum, Film Archives of the National Archives of Estonia, Estonian Film Institute, Tallinn University Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School, Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council (BAAC) and Tallinn University Centre of Excellence in Media Innovation and Digital Culture (MEDIT).
