International conference "Historical Knowledge in/on East- and South-East Asia"

This upcoming conference will be of interest to students of production of
historical narratives and national identities. The presentations are a mix
of different approaches to Chinese, East and Southeast Asian
ancient/classical and modern histories, as well as politics, philosophies,
and arts--and their various dynamics. The keynote speaker is Hawaii
University philosophy professor Roger T. Ames who gives a lecture
"Confucian Role Ethics and the Moral Imagination".
