The next event from the "Inimkond" seminar series will be hosted by social anthropologist Aet Annist  and she will speak on the subject of "Living remotely: Estonians' transnational existence and experiences with possessions and dispossessions".

The presentation will focus on "social dispossession", which has affected people's ability to informally solve local and communal problems. Based on her fieldwork in South East Estonia and amongst the transnational Estonians in the UK, she offers ethnographic examples that connect social dispossession in the postsocialist states with ethnic dispossession in diasporic/transnational contexts.

All are welcome to attend the seminar on Thursday, 16 February at 18 o'clock in room A325.
