On Monday, 16 May at 12:00, the inauguration ceremony for Professor Tiit Land will be held at the Tallinn University Ceremonial Hall (Terra building, Narva mnt 25).

Professor Land will give his oath of office and deliver his inaugural address. He will receive the rector’s chain from the President of the Republic of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves. Speeches will also be held by the President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences Tarmo Soomere, the Minister of Education and Research, Jürgen Ligi, and the head of the Tallinn University Student Union, Marlen Ulrika Elisabet Kakkori.

Tiit Land was elected Rector of Tallinn University by the electoral body on 8 February 2016. His second term as the Rector of Tallinn University will begin on 15 May 2016 and last for five years.
