Estonia is faced with a population aging issue that will have a big influence on our future society. But what do designers, architectsand ICT professionals have to consider today to solve these challenges and how accessible are our current e-services to users with disabilities? Where to go from here?
The purpose of the event is to get people talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) accessibility and users with different abilities. We have invited experienced researchers, policy makers, designers, ICT professionals and people with limited abilities to meet and talk about general and local issues with accessibility and Design for All.
Global Accessibility Awareness Days started as an initiative in the US three years ago and in 2014 more than 30 institutions around the world hosted their own local GAAD events. This is the first time the event is organized in Estonia.
