Germany funds the German history and culture professor's position

The anniversary of German history and culture professoriate in the Baltics is celebrated this week in Tallinn University R.P盲ts Auditorium (M213) at 2 p.m. The professor's position was created in the Tallinn University Institute of History one year ago and it is fully funded by Germany.

The ceremony will have speeches from the Ambassador of Germany in Estonia Christian Matthias Schlaga, the official from the German Culture and Media Ministry Sabine Deres, the vice-rector for academic affairs in Tallinn University Priit Reiska, professor of German history and culture in the Baltics Ulrike Plath and representatives of Latvia, Vilnius and Tartu Universities. Professor Gerhard Seewann from Pecs University will also be present.

The anniversary of German history and culture professoriate in the Baltics is organised by the German Culture and Media Ministry and the Nord-Ost Institute in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Estonia and Tallinn University.

The presentations will be in German. Everyone is welcome!
