A variety of events introducing the Finno-Ugric tribes take place in Tallinn University 10-30 October, including movies, concerts and exhibitions.

The formal opening ceremony of the Finno-Ugric Festival is on 17 October at 5 p.m. in Tallinn University Researchers' Forum.

In the programme:

  • Greetings from TU Rector Tiit Land, First Vice-President of the Parliament Laine Randjärv and Chairman of the Finno-Ugric peoples’ support function in the Parliament Juku-Kalle Raid
  • Opening of the exhibition for Finno-ugric traditional costumes and handcraft
  • Concert by various Finno-Ugric folk bands and Tallinn University Chamber Choir

The Festival is organised by the Ersa Culture Association Sjatko in collaboration with ESUR, Tallinn University Museum and NPO Fenno-Ugria.

The Festival is supported by TU Rector's Fund, Estonian National Museum, Estonian History Museum.
