The European Day of Languages is an event designed to draw the public's
attention to the importance of language learning. It also raises the
awareness of all the languages spoken in Europe and helps to encourage
lifelong language learning. Cultural institutes and embassies will discuss
their activities including the availability of free language classes.The
European Day of Languages is organized by the Directorate-General for
Translation of the European Commission and will be held at Tallinn
University, in cooperation with Tallinn University Press.As part of the
European Day of Languages, a conference on issues related to translation
will also be held at Tallinn University.The traditional information day for
European languages and cultures will be held in the Atrium of Tallinn
University (Mare building) on September 26. The event will start at 10:00.
Students and musicians will provide entertainment.For further
