ECREA Women's Network Seminar: Me, my academy and my family
Add to calendar
iCal calendarThe European Communication Research Association (ECREA) women's network seminar "Me, my academy and my family“ takes place in Tallinn University (Mare building, room M648), 5-6 December.
The seminar disserts the issue of combining academic work and family life. The basis of the topic is an issue brought up in EU: Why women's careers often come to a halt after getting their doctoral degree, and why all the resources invested in women get lost for the academic world. Despite the fact that higher education is feminised, the academic life is still built on the notion that the lecturer or researcher is a single person without a family (or a man undisturbed by family duties). The seminar discusses what the university and educational officials could do to utilise women's potential in research and higher education by adapting the structure of academic life to their needs.
The seminar is organised by Tallinn University .
