iCal calendarWith a degree in Art History from the FCSH of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, João Monteiro has been a driving force in the world of cinema and horror. He's the founder of CTLX - Cineclube de Terror de Lisboa and the visionary behind MOTELX - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival.
In 2018, João directed the award-winning documentary "Nos InterstÃcios da Realidade ou o Cinema de António de Macedo." His commitment to the world of horror and Portuguese cinema is truly commendable. Notably, in 2022, he, along with Filipa Rosário, co-edited the book "O Quarto Perdido do MOTELX - Os Filmes do Terror Português (1911-2006)" (The Lost Room of MOTELX - Portuguese Horror Films (1911-2006)).
