Author and Journalist Tom Bissell to Read in Tallinn University

Tom Bissell, New Yorker contributor, will read his newest short story
(starring Estonia and cocaine) and field questions about writing, reading,
journalism and publishing, on Thursday, 20 September at 18:00 at the
Tallinn University Institute of Communications (Tartu Rd 13, 2nd
floor).Bissell is the author of six books, a Guggenheim Fellow, and a
recipient of the Rome Prize. His most recent book, "Magic Hours," was
published this year. He is a frequent contributor to the New Yorker, but
has also covered Estonia for The New Republic.The reading and Bissell's
appearance in Estonia is sponsored by a grant from Slothrop's English Books
(Müürivahe 19) in cooperation with the Tallinn University Institute of
Communication. The entire community is invited to attend the reading. The
