Rein Maran's movie night

September 13th is the 85th birthday of Estonia's most famous nature documentarist. He was long-term Tallinn University film lecturer and head of the Film department. On the 14th of September, two films will be screened. The first of them has so far been completely unknown to the wider audience. It is a portrait film of Rein Maran “1987”. In the film, we can see Rein Maran working on a number of well-known films like: "Ilvese lugu" "Elulõim" "See tüütu herilane". The second film “Ilvese elu” is completed in 1988. Its Rein Maran's film about the Estonia's mysterious forest dweller - lynx. Professor Maran will also give a speech. The session begins at 18.00. At 17.30 there will be opened an exhibition “Thousand faces of nature films” which is dedicated to Rein Maran`s work. THOUSAND FACES OF NATURE FILMS Made by Estonian National Broadcasting Museum, showing us Rein Maran´s most important work.
