At the beginning of Short Film

At first short films seem like pretty straightforward format. If we look closely we can see that there are many layers to be found. 1. Introduction First short films can be taken as piece of documents. Brother Lumieres first films like “Arrival of a train” were not only a moving picture, but an event, where the audience can see the unseen and experience new ways of entertainment . Of course the filmmakers wanted to continue expanding different opportunities and theater was a big role model. Nowadays, miracle of the film is not that impressive anymore. What is a short film? Is it everything that full feature is not?  Feature films has many stages: introduction, theme development, culmination, epilogue. In a short film, you can'´t find those things in a full matter, because of a time being so short. Short animation films are better to comprehend because viewer is not thinking about the time passing. Animation can be short, that's ok. But a film? That's something we have to get used to still. Many  filmmakers have compared short film to a dream. In my opinion, short film is a perfect dream. Because dreams also last from few second to half an hour. But the most exact compare is the structure similarity between a dream and a short film. Both are orientated to one event or problem and often the result is put together only in a viewers head . Enjoy this prize-winning film "Nyitany."
