Open call for the 10th Winter School of GSCSA
Open call for artistic research workshop curators, book symposium facilitators, seminar moderators, lecturers and lecture moderators as well as movie program facilitators at the 10th Winter School of GSCSA “The Digital Condition: Arts and Humanities in the Digital Age”.
At this Winter School we will reflect on how the new digital condition is influencing our contemporary meaning-making practices as well as our understanding of the different branches of the arts and humanities. We invite our main target group, doctoral and master’s students, to think critically about various facets of this new digital condition and to discuss datafication, algorithmicity, platformisation, digitisation, etc. so that we can better understand the potentialities and risks of this digitally mediated human condition.
Therefore, through this open call we are seeking for moderators, curators and facilitators to help students explore the digital condition further and to introduce new ways of exploring arts and humanities in the following Winter School topics and ideas:
- digital culture, digital humanities, cultural analytics, algorithmic culture, data justice, posthumanism, datafied society, media archaeology, computational cognition, AI aesthetics
- communicating digital humanities research results with a non-discursive, artistic research practice and tackling these research questions from a new artistic perspective
This Winter School favors a diversity in formats. We seek:
- artistic research curators,
- book symposium facilitators,
- movie program facilitators,
- lecturers and lecture moderators.
