The Future of Learning: EdTech Talents at the Heart of Innovation in Madrid
The EdTech Talents Summit 2025, held on October 7 in Madrid, brought together innovators, educators, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore how artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship are shaping the future of learning.
Hosted by Microsoft Spain, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), and supported by the European Union, the Summit served as a major meeting point for Europe鈥檚 EdTech community. The event showcased emerging technologies, evolving business models, and cross-border collaborations designed to accelerate educational innovation.
A Day of Vision and Collaboration
Opening remarks from Manuel Abell谩n Serna, Paco Salcedo, Eduardo Arandilla (Microsoft Spain), and Piedad Tolmos (URJC) set an ambitious tone around innovation and cooperation in education. Speakers including Sonia Fern谩ndez (Kibo Ventures), Miguel Molina Cosculluela (Analytikus), Manuel Tarrasa (TuringDream), and Ra煤l Hern谩ndez Jorge (Eiko Partners) explored startup growth, investment strategies, and the role of AI in higher education. Estonian and Serbian EdTech innovators 鈥 Liis Siiroja and Dragana Malid啪an Vinki膰 鈥 presented their national EdTech ecosystems, highlighting how regional collaboration drives digital learning progress.
Generative AI and the Future of EdTech
A highlight was the panel 鈥淕enerative AI and its Impact on EdTech Companies,鈥 moderated by Prof. Uglje拧a Marjanovi膰 (University of Novi Sad), with Pablo Garc铆a Kostrzewa (DigitalCube.AI), Miguel Molina Cosculluela (Analytikus), Elena Gonz谩lez-Blanco Garc铆a (Microsoft), Eva-Maria Infanger (Matharena), and Pau Garc铆a-Mil脿 (Founderz). The discussion examined how AI enables personalized learning and new pedagogical models, while stressing transparency and trust.
A Strong European Collaboration
The EdTech Talents project, funded by Horizon Europe, played a central role. 鈥淭his Summit showed how Europe鈥檚 EdTech community can translate research into real impact.
