BFM student releases debut album
BFM student Rute Trochynskyi released her debut album “LOVER” with the band RUTE.
RUTE is a quartet of young people who are united by music and who love to play. Play endlessly and always! The four-member rock band, which shares a name with the soloist, reflects in its music the curiosity and love of young people for the multifaceted nature of life. The band consists of soloist Rute Trochynskyi, guitarist Franz Königswieser, bassist Alec Aleksejeva and drummer Egert Käesel.
“LOVER” is like nine chapters of one song – each song feels like a fragment of a longer confession, sometimes shining like a love letter, other times acting like a prayer. It’s an album that combines alternative rock energy with intimate sensitivity, fragile whispers and powerful climaxes. “LOVER” tells the story of a sonic journey of burning and cooling, of love and loss, of searching and finding. It’s an album that isn’t afraid to ask: what becomes of us when the light goes out?
“My first child has been born, I have carried him in my heart for a long time and now he is yours - hold him dear,” says the band's leader Rute Trochynskyi, “It was important for us to write an album that would live and breathe as a complete work. “

The album was preceded by the singles “LOVER” and “STRANGER,” which introduced listeners to two aspects of the album. Now, you have all nine.
In 2023, the band presented itself to an international audience at Tallinn Music Week, where they also performed in 2025, on the Võnke stage. The band has performed at Treski Fest, Võnge Festival and Rebasemõisa Festival, on the R2 mini-ship. Previously, the single about the fatal woman “Pretty Woman” and the songs “LOVER” and “STRANGER” preceding the debut album have been released.
